“Kick off the Summer with Maple-leaf Lanterns”
Celebrate Canada’s birthday with family picnics, barbecues, and fireworks. To
add to the national celebration, why not show off our maple leaves with pride
and make festive leaf lanterns? Maple-leaf shapes are fashioned out of clay,
decorated with leaf imprints and then placed around plain glassware, votive
holders, items that you already have and transform them into spectacular
summer patio lanterns. Make it a family activity and get the kids involved, its a
super cottage or day camp activity!

Gardening is so soul soothing, its like a meditative, it put me in zen kind of trance.
Gardening allows me to play in the dirt like a child and this makes me smile.
It frees my mind and soul.
Gardening is very grounding, it’s getting in touch with your roots, connecting with the
earth....it’s gratefulness, it's caring, it's liberation and giving life all in one!
Gardening is creating an environment
to nuture life....thus it is truly most rewarding, it always makes me fell most serene....for the love of gardening it is all purely unconditional~

I have just as much fun embellishing my clothes as I do with home decorative
accessories.... because I like them to be original. How to customize and reinvent your spring and summer wardrobe with style. As with home decorative accents, my rule of thumb is the same; you don’t have to spend a fortune to create the latest fashion trends to look and feel good. Make the most of your wardrobe by simply adding some substance, color and texture dimension. I utilized a combination of new and renewed items that I already had and liked, to all co-ordinate together. The results were so spectacular that I wanted to share with you how really simple it is to

MIY Painting on Dishes...using textures

Dish it up with Textures: Don't just paint a dish, texturize it with style!
Dish it up with color and texture to create style and most original chinaware creations: Transform a plain china bowl (or other various items) into a personalized gift. You can create different textured patterns by using assorted paintbrushes or faux-finishing tools with an array of bright, Porcelaine 150 heat-set paints. The specialty paints can be set in your own oven, which makes them dishwasher and oven safe. To top the gift off, fill it with a few of mom's favorite things.

Miy Outdoor Tuscan Wall Bud Vase

Re-invent
The "as is" or discount section of home furnishing stores is a great place for unique finds that you can transform into something else. The basic cupboard door I used for this project is a good example. I filled the centre panel with granular paste, added small mosaic tiles, applied glaze for an Old World verdigris effect, and then secured a glass vase with wire. It is now an outdoor Tuscan-style bud vase wall hanging.
